Transportation and Logistics Coordinator
Job Description:
• Support the Operations and Sales teams
• Manage Inbound and Outbound freight across multiple transportation modes
• Report directly to the Senior Planning Manager of North America
• Manage logistics for inbound raw materials & outbound customer orders fulfillment
• Coordinate Drayage, Full Truckload (FTL), and LTL transportation movements
• Manage relationships with brokers and carriers
• Negotiate freight rates and manage freight cost
• Optimize load planning and spend efficiency
• Identify opportunities and/or inefficiencies and offer solutions for improvement
• File, monitor, and follow up on freight claims with carriers
Requirements:
• Strong communication, problem solving and the ability to collaborate
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Experience working with freight brokers and carriers preferred
• Time management, prioritization and multitasking abilities
• A commitment to continuous improvement
• Great problem solving skills
• Detail oriented and methodical
• Self-starter
• Comfortable in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
