Key Responsibilities:
Ā Design and Analysis: Independently complete the structural design of transmission lines up to 420 kV.
Ā Design transmission line towers (lattice, tubular steel, monopoles) for different voltages.
Ā Perform structural analysis using design software (e.g., PLS-TOWER, PLS-CADD).
Ā Account for various loads like wind and ice.
Ā Ensure designs follow industry standards and regulations.
Ā Stay updated on relevant design codes (e.g., ASCE, NESC).
Ā Create design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
Ā Work with drafting teams to produce construction drawings.
Ā Provide technical support during project execution.
Ā Assist with project schedules, cost estimates, and material specifications.
Ā Work with other engineers and teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
Ā Participate in design review meetings.
Special Skills/Experience/Training
Ā Education: Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Ā Experience in transmission line tower design or similar roles.
