Transmission Line Designer

The role involves managing design work from concept to construction support while ensuring compliance with engineering standards.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and review transmission line design packages including plan and profile drawings, structure and assembly details, general arrangements, section views, and foundation plansUtilize PLS-CADD and CAD tools to produce accurate, build-ready designs aligned with ATC standardsReview internal and consultant-prepared designs to ensure quality, constructability, and standards compliance; identify and resolve issues earlyPrepare and review construction documents, bills of materials (BOMs), and purchase requisitions to support field executionProvide construction support through design clarifications, updates, and field coordination as neededManage as-builts, drawing updates, and record closeout activities to ensure accurate asset documentationSkillsAssociate's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent relevant experienceExperience using CAD tools for engineering designAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with engineers, consultants, and contractorsStrong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and commitment to qualityBenefitsAnnual incentive bonusEmployer-sponsored pension plan401(k) matchHSA contributionLife & disability insuranceHealth care benefitsGenerous time off plansFlexible work arrangementsCompany OverviewATC is connecting you with a sustainable energy future.
