We are seeking a passionate and experienced Part-Time Teacher/Tutor to join our team at Sylvan Learning of Western Carolinas and Midlands of SC. Key Responsibilities:
Teach students in a small group setting (3:1 or 4:1) using our expert personal and prescriptive approach
Utilize paid training and certifications from Sylvan to teach various subjects, including reading, math, writing, study skills, and ACT/SAT Test Prep
Build mastery of skills and confidence in students, experiencing daily "light bulb" moments
Collaborate with our team to provide a supportive and relational learning environment
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Education and a current or expired teaching license from any state
Passion for teaching and patience with students of all skill levels
High mastery of knowledge at multiple levels and ability to make complex concepts relatable
Excellent time management and multitasking skills
Availability after school at least one day a week and/or Saturday mornings, with additional hours available during the day and summer
