Responsibilities
Ā Perform final dictation entry formatting, including microscopic description, final diagnosis, and comment fields.

Ā Assign appropriate pathologist to each case.

Ā Document case holds generated by transcription.
,
Ā Assign ICD codes on derm cases.
,
Ā Edit fee codes.
,
Ā Designate Cancer call and Special Event cases in CoPath.
,
Ā Follow laboratory procedures for processing, reporting, and maintaining records of patient test results.
,
Ā Adhere to all quality control/quality assurance policies and procedures.
,
Ā Document all quality control activities.
,
Ā Identify problems that may adversely affect reporting of results.
,
Ā Document all corrective actions taken.
,
Ā Assist in the proper storage and maintenance of all records.
Requirements
Ā Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.

Ā Minimum one year experience as a pathology transcriptionist or medical transcription experience.
,
Ā Knowledge of medical terminology.
,
Ā Effective oral and written communication skills via telephone, e-mail, and in person.
,
Ā Grammar and proofreading skills.
,
Ā Attention to detail and accuracy.
,
Ā Ability to take the initiative and work independently and within a team.

Ā Customer service driven.
