Career.zycto is seeking detail-oriented Transcriptionists with a keen ear and mastery of written English to join our flexible, contract-based remote team. You will be crucial in converting diverse audio and video recordings into accurate, well-formatted text, enhancing accessibility for our clients. Key Responsibilities
• Accurately transcribe audio/video files into text, adhering to specific style guides and formatting requirements.
• Proofread and edit transcribed documents for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and coherence to ensure exceptional quality.
• Identify and flag unclear audio, speakers, or terminology for clarification.
• Manage multiple transcription projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within specified deadlines.
• Utilize transcription software and tools effectively to enhance productivity and accuracy.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all client information and sensitive content.
• Continuously improve transcription speed and accuracy through practice and feedback.
Required Skills
• Native-level proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
• Exceptional listening skills and the ability to discern speech in varying audio qualities.
• Superior grammar, punctuation, and spelling skills.
• Proven experience with transcription software and digital audio players.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong time management and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
• Proficiency in using word processing software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs).
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with different transcription styles (e.g., verbatim, intelligent verbatim).
• Familiarity with various accents and dialects.
• Prior experience in specialized transcription fields (e.g., medical, legal, academic).
• Typing speed of 60 WPM or higher with excellent accuracy.
• Access to high-speed internet and a quiet working environment.
