Transactional Attorney (Part-Time, Remote)
Job Description
The Curry Law Firm, PLLC is seeking a Part-Time Transactional Attorney to assist with pre-litigation and transactional legal work, including demand letters, negotiations, and contract-related matters. This position is fully remote and ideal for an attorney seeking flexible, project-based work.
Our firm focuses on business, real estate, and estate planning matters and takes a practical, results-driven approach to legal services.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Draft and revise demand letters and pre-litigation correspondence
ā¢ Handle negotiations and settlement discussions prior to litigation
ā¢ Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, releases, and settlement documents
ā¢ Prepare pre-litigation legal analyses and strategy memoranda
ā¢ Communicate with clients regarding legal strategy and next steps
ā¢ Coordinate with litigation counsel when matters escalate to formal litigation
ā¢ Manage assigned matters independently and meet deadlines
ā¢ Maintain organized records and documentation for assigned matters
Qualifications
ā¢ Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
ā¢ Active license to practice law in the State of Texas
ā¢ Experience in transactional law, business law, or real estate law
ā¢ Strong drafting skills, especially demand letters and contracts
ā¢ Experience with negotiations and dispute resolution
ā¢ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
ā¢ Strong organizational and time-management skills
ā¢ Ability to work independently in a remote environment
ā¢ Familiarity with LexisNexis or Westlaw preferred
