About the Role
As a Tower Designer at Workwarp, you will play a critical role in designing and developing telecommunication towers for our clients. You will be responsible for creating detailed designs, modifying existing drawings, and researching site information to ensure compliance with local codes and regulations. Key Responsibilities
Design and develop telecommunication towers using AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations
Modify existing drawings and conceptual drawings to meet client requirements
Research site information, including aerial images, local codes, and utility companies, to inform design decisions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet client needs and are delivered on time
Develop and maintain detailed records of design decisions and changes
Provide mentoring and guidance to junior team members, sharing expertise and best practices
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
7+ years of experience with AutoCAD, preferably in the telecommunication industry
Experience with tower design, including conceptual design and detailed design
Strong research skills, with the ability to locate and analyze site information, including aerial images, local codes, and utility companies
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
AT&T carrier experience is highly desirable, as is experience with mentoring and guiding junior team members
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
Experience working with telecom equipment and technology
Knowledge of local codes and regulations, including zoning codes and utility company requirements
Experience with carrier review drawings and amendments to existing tower designs
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex design issues and develop creative solutions
