Tier 3 Microsoft Network and Windows Engineer
This is a remote position. SUMMARYWe are seeking a highly skilled Tier 3 Microsoft Network and Windows Engineer with extensive experience in managed service provider (MSP) environments. This senior-level role is ideal for a dynamic, hands-on professional with a strong foundation in Microsoft technologies, deep network infrastructure knowledge, and a proven track record in systems architecture, project delivery, and enterprise support. As a key technical leader, the successful candidate will play a vital role in high-level troubleshooting, solution design, and project execution, while also contributing to the growth of our engineering team through mentorship and future leadership opportunities.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex Microsoft and network infrastructure issues.
Design and implement Microsoft-based IT architectures and network environments across enterprise environments.
Lead and execute IT infrastructure projects, from scoping and planning to deployment and documentation.
Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and related technologies.
Troubleshoot enterprise-level issues involving network connectivity, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and more.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and vendors to deliver robust and scalable IT solutions.
Provide mentorship and potentially lead a growing team of engineers.
Participate in on-call rotations and accommodate off-hours work as required by project or client needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 10–15 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure roles, with at least 5 years in an MSP environment.
Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft 365, and Azure technologies.
Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, VPNs, and routing protocols.
Demonstrated experience in solution architecture, technical project leadership, and operational support.
Proven ability to handle escalations, lead root cause analyses, and design preventive measures.
Excellent documentation, communication, and client-facing skills.
Leadership potential and interest in managing and scaling technical teams through organic growth and acquisition.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Should be willing to accept a long-term work-from-home arrangement.
Should be amenable to a permanent night shift schedule.
