Shrunken Heads is working with an Seed-stage Cybersecurity startup based in Austin, TX to hire several critical members for their core team.
What You’ll Do:
Collaborating with the CTO to lead the development and implementation of scalable detection and analysis methods
Analyzing large data sets, identifying threats, and designing additional detection capabilities
Communicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders, such as the detection engineering roadmap and progress updates
Who You Are:
Have experience in Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Data Science, OR similarly related background with fast-paced company
Combined Technical Knowledge and Security-domain specific knowledge, passionate about the adversarial nature of security
May ask for contributions to code repositories, projects, reports, articles or documentation during the process
Experience with modern Detection Engineering tools (SIEM, SOAR, Logging, and other “analytics” platforms)
Experience with web scraping, ETL pipelines, script building, security automations, Dev Ops, or traditional software engineering
Ability to own projects from end-to-end
Compensation: 100-120K salary (+/- DOE) + stock options
Hybrid in Austin (but exceptional remote candidates should still apply!)
Unlimited PTO — 2 weeks “minimum” encouraged!
