Responsibilities
ā¢ Providing group, individual, and play therapy to children and adolescents in schools.

ā¢ Consulting and educating school personnel and community individuals on mental health issues and resources.

ā¢ Completing on-site mental health assessments and intakes for students identified by the school.

ā¢ Assessing student needs and making appropriate referrals.

ā¢ Coordinating with crisis intervention staff to handle mental health emergencies in schools.

ā¢ Providing individual therapy, family therapy, couples counseling, and group counseling to people of all ages.
,
ā¢ Collaborating with clients to establish a strengths-based, goal-specific treatment plan in the electronic medical record (EMR).
,
ā¢ Providing professional mental health consultation to other staff and community individuals or agencies.
,
ā¢ Performing therapy diagnostic evaluations to enroll clients in counseling and psychiatric services.
,
ā¢ Making referrals to other programs as warranted.
,
ā¢ Coordinating care with crisis intervention staff for crisis assessments related to voluntary hospitalizations.
,
ā¢ Providing an eight-week group session focusing on self-care, self-management, and self-recovery topics.
,
ā¢ Attending meetings, participating in staff development trainings, and assisting with presentations/trainings to community organizations.
Requirements
ā¢ One year of experience as a Psychological Services Associate 1; or
,
ā¢ One year of professional experience in psychological services work; and a master's degree in psychology or a closely related field.
