Test Lead - Quality Assurance

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Test Lead - Quality Assurance to lead end-to-end testing for enterprise and data-driven applications. This role requires strong hands-on experience in data validation, backend testing, and SQL, along with proven leadership in defining QA strategy and managing testing teams. The ideal candidate has experience working with Snowflake, Databricks, and enterprise databases, and is comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and manage QA activities across multiple projects • Define test strategy, test plans, and execution schedules • Ensure functional, integration, system, regression, and UAT testing coverage • Perform data validation and backend testing using SQL • Validate data accuracy and integrity in Snowflake and data warehouse environments • Coordinate closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders • Review test cases, track defects, and ensure timely resolution • Mentor QA team members and enforce QA best practices • Report testing status, metrics, and quality risks to leadership • Support automation initiatives as needed Required Qualifications: • 10+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance • 3+ years of experience in a Test Lead or QA Lead role • Strong experience with backend and data testing • Hands-on experience with Snowflake and SQL • Experience with databases such as Oracle, Databricks, MongoDB, or other NoSQL databases • Solid understanding of data warehousing and ETL concepts • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, ALM, TestRail, etc.) • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments • Strong communication and leadership skills Nice to Have: • Exposure to automation testing frameworks • Experience in large-scale enterprise or data-driven systems Orion is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, citizenship status, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
