Key Responsibilities
Assist pharmacists in processing physician orders for medications by entering information into various medication management systems in an unverified status
Maintain professional work habits by organizing workload, setting priorities, utilizing resources appropriately, completing assignments in a timely manner, and adapting well to change
File and retrieve various pharmacy records as required and/or requested by the pharmacist
Work independently to respond to questions not requiring a pharmacist's professional judgment
Assure any credit and billing tasks are completed in a timely and thorough manner
Attend to customers/non-professional calls in a courteous and timely manner
Serve as a liaison between the client and pharmacist
Recognize departures from the norm and discuss with pharmacist
Order medication/aids in inventory maintenance at remote facilities
Assist with automated dispensing device inventory verification
Perform various and basic computer functions/database management
Retrieve specific clerical and other patient information from patient profile as directed by the pharmacist
Ensure assigned work areas and equipment are clean and orderly
Essential Qualifications
Current Washington State Pharmacy Technician License, in good standing
Residency in Washington State
CPhT Certification
WA Technician Certification
Ability to understand oral and written directions from registered pharmacists
Ability to organize and perform work effectively and accurately
Ability to operate computers, word processors, and understand medical terminology
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of pharmacy/hospital experience
Previous experience in a Telepharmacy setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic computer skills and familiarity with database management
