About the position The Telemetry Technician (Monitor Tech I) is responsible for continuously monitoring patients' oxygen saturation and electrocardiogram rhythms from a remote workstation in the TeleICU Clinical Operations Room. This role involves communicating any concerns to the registered nursing staff and is essential for ensuring patient safety and care in the ICU environment. Responsibilities • Continuously monitor patients' oxygen saturation and ECG rhythms from a remote workstation. • Communicate any concerns regarding patient status to the registered nurse. • Ensure accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and respond to alarms appropriately. Requirements • Successful completion of Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia Interpretation class with a score of at least 80%. • National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association. • 1 year of recent ECG monitoring experience in a telemetry, neurological, cardiac ICU, or TeleICU setting. Nice-to-haves • Monitor Tech Certification upon hire. • Experience using electronic medical records.
