A nursing opportunity is available in New Britain, CT, focused on delivering exceptional care in a surgical cardiology unit specializing in post open heart and vascular procedures. This contract position is ideal for Registered Nurses with experience in cardiac care and a commitment to patient-centered practice.

Responsibilities:
• Provide post-operative care for patients recovering from open heart surgery and vascular procedures.
• Monitor and manage cardiac drips and other critical treatments with precision.
• Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, safe patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments and interventions.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and participate in ongoing patient education.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred.
• Previous experience in surgical cardiology, specifically with post open heart care and cardiac drips.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, high-acuity environments.
