This opportunity is for a registered nurse skilled in telemetry nursing, ready to take on critical patient care responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The position is based in Denham Springs, LA, and involves a contract role with a reputable medical center. Key Responsibilities include: • Monitoring cardiac telemetry and managing telemetry patients with precision and care • Administering medications, including cardiac drips, and operating necessary medical equipment • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care • Participating actively in emergency response teams as assigned during critical events • Utilizing Epic electronic health records for documentation and patient charting Required Qualifications and Experience: • Current RN licensure with at least one year of experience in telemetry or med-surg nursing • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification • Preferred Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification • Proficient in EKG interpretation and telemetry monitoring • Ability to work float assignments, on-call duties, and weekend rotations (every other weekend) • Commitment to working night shifts: three 12-hour shifts from 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m. Location Overview: Denham Springs, LA, offers a welcoming community atmosphere with a blend of suburban comfort and access to metropolitan amenities.
