Telemetry Nurse (RN) in Boston, MA

A nursing opportunity is available for a skilled RN with telemetry proficiency in Boston, MA. This contract role focuses on delivering specialized care in a 32-bed orthopedic and neurological medical/surgical unit. Candidates must be adept at reading telemetry strips and have a minimum of two years of relevant experience. Responsibilities β€’ Provide comprehensive nursing care on the Med/Surg Telemetry Unit with a focus on orthopedic and neurological patients. β€’ Interpret telemetry strips accurately and monitor patient heart rhythms. β€’ Manage patient care with appropriate clinician-to-patient ratios, typically 1:4 to 1:6 depending on the shift. β€’ Float to other units as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability. β€’ Use EPIC for charting and documentation according to established protocols. β€’ Work night shifts with no rotation; day shift rotators may experience varied schedules. Qualifications β€’ Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, particularly in Med/Surg with telemetry and neuro assessment skills. β€’ Ability to accurately read telemetry strips is mandatory. β€’ Current Massachusetts RN license and BLS certification required; ACLS preferred. Schedule β€’ Night shifts covering 36 hours per week, with every other weekend coverage; rotating shifts possible for day positions. This role is ideal for an RN ready to apply their telemetry skills in a focused orthopedic and neuro unit in a contract position.
