Position: Telecounselor / Professional School Counselor Type: 1099 Independent Contractor Location: Remote (NJ) Grade Levels: 9–12 Schedule: Flexible (daytime & evening hours) Compensation: Based on experience (no benefits; contractor role) Overview: Prosperi is hiring experienced School Counselors to provide virtual academic, college, and career counseling to high school students. This remote contract role offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a real impact through tech-enabled student support. Counselors will work closely with students, families, and school-based teams while upholding best practices aligned with the ASCA National Model. Key Responsibilities: • Provide individual student counseling focused on academic and postsecondary planning • Support with college applications, FAFSA, scholarships, and career exploration • Collaborate with school teams, families, and community partners • Maintain accurate and confidential digital records • Implement equitable, student-centered virtual counseling practices Qualifications: • Master’s in School Counseling or related field • Valid School Counselor certification/license in NJ • 3+ years of school counseling experience (high school preferred) • Strong communication, tech skills, and comfort working remotely • Familiarity with graduation requirements and college/career readiness standards in respective state.
