The Telecom Specialist will provide administrative, project management, research, and office support for an assigned department or practice group, contributing to the firm’s strategic initiatives.ResponsibilitiesPerforms administrative duties to include creating and editing documents, maintaining spreadsheets, and analyzing dataResearch information and gathers data in order to prepare reports, analyses, and multi-national surveysHandles various projects for department or practice groupsAttends and participates in meetings to gain an understanding of department objectives and recent activitiesEffectively communicates, verbally and written correspondence with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third partiesProduces and successfully meet deliverables, answers phones, and responds to files and correspondence in an efficient and responsive manner as requiredAssists with document management system to update and/or create new documents, which may need collating documents, brochures or other materials, as neededSkillsSkills in Microsoft office to include Word and ExcelWorking knowledge of Smartsheet softwareStrong analytical, written and verbal communications skillsStrong attention to detail to provide timely, accurate, and quality work productStrong interpersonal, organizational, and project management skillsMust be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and foster positive work relationshipsHigh School or GED1 year experience in an office environment - preferably within a law office, professional services organization, legislative setting, federal agency or military organizationEffectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third partiesProduce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence in an efficient and responsive mannerProvide timely, accurate, and quality work productSuccessfully meet deadlines, expectations, and perform work duties as requiredFoster positive work relationshipsComply with all firm policies and practicesEngage in both physical and sedentary activity, such as (a) working at a computer for extended periods of time, including on-screen reading and typing; (b) participating in digital/virtual conference calls; (c) participating in meetings as neededAbility to work under pressure and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environmentBachelor's Degree in Political Science, Government Affairs, or related fieldBenefitsMedical/dental/vision insurance401(k)Company OverviewDLA Piper is a global law firm with lawyers located in more than 40 countries to helps clients with their legal needs around the world.
