Technical Writer(Entry Level)- Contract- Remote
This role is a remote contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical writing background and experience collaborating with diverse audiences to craft clear, concise, and precise documentation within a fast-paced and dynamic company.
Your Impact:
ā¢ Develop, write, and maintain detailed policies and procedures that support the organization's goals and comply with regulatory standards.
ā¢ Collaborate with various departments to ensure relevant, accurate, and up-to-date policies.
ā¢ Ensure all policy documents are written clearly and concisely, making them easily understandable and actionable for all employees.
ā¢ Regularly review and update existing policies to incorporate changes in regulations, standards, and organizational objectives.
ā¢ Offer guidance to employees on the interpretation and implementation of policies.
ā¢ Evaluate current content and devise innovative methods for improvement.
Specific Responsibilities
ā¢ Research, draft, and author new policies and procedures, adhering to legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.
ā¢ Engage with subject-matter experts to develop and compose technical specifications, procedure manuals, process and proposal documentation, training materials, and white papers, particularly for security and global operations.
ā¢ Collaborate with subject-matter experts, legal advisors, and department heads to ensure comprehensive and precise policy formation.
Technical Writer
ā¢ Edit and refine existing policies to improve clarity, consistency, and compliance.
ā¢ Maintain a systematic and accessible digital repository of all policy and
procedure documents.
ā¢ Effectively communicate updates and changes in policies to all relevant
stakeholders and provide necessary training or guidance.
ā¢ Analyze feedback from employees and stakeholders to pinpoint opportunities for
policy enhancement.
ā¢ Assist in the development of policy-related training materials and programs.
Your Experience:
ā¢ Minimum of two years of experience in policy writing, technical writing, or a related field.
ā¢ Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
ā¢ Ability to make challenging, complex ideas, concepts, and tasks understandable
and appealing to diverse audiences.
ā¢ Dynamic and team-oriented, with excellent interpersonal skills, business
judgment, strategic thinking, and superior work ethic.
ā¢ Excellent research and analytical skills to gather and evaluate information.
ā¢ Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
ā¢ Proficiency in using word processing and document management software.
ā¢ Proficiency with Google Workplace and related business and communication
tools.
Desired Education:
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
