Role: Technical Writer- Mid Level

Location: REMOTE

Duration: 12+ months contract

Client is seeking a contractor to perform a detailed review of Advanced Planning Documents, and develop other documentation required for planning, implementation, and operations to support the NC Medicaid, Medicaid Enterprise System (MES)Program.

Expected Skills: Able to work without assistance; can provide leadership to others; able to manage complex work efforts; may have advanced education; may have deep industry experience.

Description (including, but not limited to):

1. Translating information into clear, concise documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel

2. Developing and/or maintaining the following types of documentation: communications for diverse stakeholder groups; system documentation and release notes; user manuals and training guides; installation guides; computer operations and program maintenance manuals; plans for training, testing, quality assurance, and contingency operations; backup, recovery and restart procedures; proposals, presentations, reports, standard operating procedures (SOP), policies and procedures

3. Editing of special reports or any other deliverables and documents

The Technical Writer/Documentation Specialist produces NC Medicaid documentation and translates information into clear, concise documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel. This role manages and develops various documentation, creates presentations, and peer reviews knowledge-based documents for grammar, content, and style of writing. The primary focus of the role is to perform a detailed review of Advanced Planning Documents (APD) and other documentation required for planning, implementation, and operations to support the NC Medicaid, Medicaid Enterprise System (MES) Program.

Prior North Carolina Medicaid, Health & Human Services, Government Agency, Higher Ed, Editorial, or related experience and knowledge.
