Technical Writer II Part Time/Remote - NIH - Three Saints Bay - Bethesda, MD - work from home job Company: Three Saints Bay Job description: Kiliuda Consulting LLC, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and government contracting industry leader is looking for a Technical Writer to provide support services to satisfy the operational objectives of National Cancer Institute, Center for Cancer Research, Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Gene Regulation Section in Bethesda, MD Responsibilities: • Provide professional editorial services for scientific manuscripts, professional clinical reports and PowerPoint presentations, and meeting abstracts related to the research programs being conducted in the Gene Regulation Section, • Review and edit protocols for animal users committee • Review and edit protocols for testing therapeutic agents • Edit NIH grant reviews • Edit manuscripts, reviews and book chapters. • Follow up on all assigned projects and correspondence to ensure that timely completion of tasks and/or deadlines is met. • Prepare and gather material for use in reports, presentations and speeches of the point of contact. This includes maintaining a file of visual aids for use in presentations and making all arrangements for the presentations. Requirements: • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check • Ability to pass a Public Trust background investigation • Bachelors degree in English or a related field or some college course work credit and minimum of three years' experience • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). • Strong organizational, analytical and time management skills. • Strong communications skills, both oral and written. Prefer scientific and/or clinical writing experience and/or experience with writing scientific journals and manuscripts Ability to speak and write fluently in English Biology/science background and/or experience/familiarity with science terminology considered a plus Experience working with confidential documents Attention to detail and ability to multi- task The ability to use both hands, distinguish basic colors and work both alone and closely with others.
