Entrata’s Training department is looking for a Technical Writer based in our Lehi, UT HQ. As part of the Training Content team, you will be responsible for the technical documentation we provide to our clients to support their learning of our software.This is an essential position in helping stay in front of product knowledge - which spans 40+ different products. You will work with a group of Product Managers to ensure that documentation is updated in a timely and accurate manner. Responsibilities will include: Maintain a deep understanding of Entrata’s products and services in order to translate complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging content.Write user-friendly “user guides” that meet the needs of the target audience, turning insights into language that sets Entrata’s users up for success.Partner with internal departments including Product, Development, UX & Training in order to document software workflows correctly and succinctly.Lead meetings with product managers and provide status updates.Adhere to strict content audit schedule and new release schedule while meeting sometimes aggressive deadlines.Lead meetings with product managers, provide status updates, and drive accountability.Coordinate work with others on the Content Team.Assist with the overall help center strategy and content management discussions and vision.Adhere to documentation style guides and when appropriate make recommendations on how to improve our standards.Perform peer reviews for quality, usability, and adherence to established styles while also having a sharp eye for self-evaluation. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Communication, English, or other related field1+ years of experience in technical writingAbility to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and picturesComfortable working independently and being self-motivated and also part of a teamHigh EQ and ability to connect with others easilyPositive, self-motivated, self-managed, and a finisher Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of experience in technical writingProficiency in HTML and use of the Chicago Manual of StyleExperience in the multi-family industryFamiliarity with SaaS and agile developmentComfortable with giving and receiving constructive feedbackExcellent time management skills This band covers the full salary range for the role.
