Technical Risk Assurance Specialist
About the position
Vanguard's IT Controls & Governance is looking for a Technical Risk Assurance Analyst who want to contribute to maintaining a strong technical control environment. You will have an opportunity to collaborate with technology partners to create, sustain, and strengthen the internal technical control framework through control identification, design and implementation. Through the testing of controls, you will identify control gaps and work with IT to close the gaps. Vanguard's external auditors rely on IT Controls & Governance to provide them the information needed for testing and the technical expertise to assist in answering questions and resolving concerns. IT Controls & Governance is focused on using automation and AI to improve the value of the testing we perform and increase our efficiency. Skills that contribute to success are technical knowledge (cloud, cyber security CI/CD pipelines, access management), audit/internal control experience and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Requirements
• Undergraduate degree in related field or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Minimum three years related work experience.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience in IT security or application development preferred.
• Preferred security certification such as ISC2 CISSP, GIAC Security, Essentials Certification (GSEC), GIAC Penetration Tester Certification (GPEN), GIAC Web App Pen Tester (GWPN), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
• IT audit certification (such as CISA, CISSP, CRISC, etc.) is preferred.
