Job Summary:
Abacus is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Technical Project Manager to join our growing team in Lahore. The successful candidate will lead a range of client projects from inception to completion ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with high-quality standards.
This role is ideal for a proactive problem-solver with a strong technical foundation, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional results. The Project Manager will work closely with clients and cross-functional teams, contributing directly to the success and growth of our consultancy.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Initiation
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with clients and internal teams.Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk assessments.Conduct kickoff meetings and ensure alignment across all stakeholders.Define project tasks and allocate resources effectively.
Project Execution & Monitoring
Drive day-to-day project operations, ensuring progress aligns with planned objectives.Monitor timelines, budgets, deliverables, and resources.Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies proactively.Utilize project management tools for tracking and reporting.Maintain consistent communication with project teams and stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management
Foster strong relationships with clients and internal teams.Provide clear, timely updates on project status, changes, and challenges.Manage expectations and maintain a high level of client satisfaction.Lead stakeholder meetings and presentations.
Technical Insight
Understand key technical aspects relevant to project scope (e.g., software development, IT systems, engineering processes).Bridge communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.Collaborate with technical teams to ensure feasibility and quality delivery.Identify and resolve technical risks and constraints.
Project Closure
Ensure all deliverables are completed, approved, and documented.Lead post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned.Prepare and present closure reports and ensure proper archiving.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Project Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.3-5 years of hands-on project management experience.Proven success managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.Strong command of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).Technical understanding of relevant domains (e.g., software development lifecycle, data analytics, cloud solutions).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project, etc.PMP certification (or equivalent) is a strong plus.
