Technical Product Manager, Software

Remote Full-time
Mason is the only fully managed infrastructure for developing and delivering dedicated devices. We make it easy for anyone to turn an idea into a smart product and ship it to anywhere in the world. Our mission is to enable our customers to create smart and sustainable products on behalf of humanity.

We're looking for the right person to join our close-knit team and help take our foundational product and business to the next level. Mason's core product is mobile infrastructure as a service ("mobile IaaS") — think elastic, customizable hardware + software + services. Mason is used across industries and use cases today, from digitizing clinical trials, to improving warehouse efficiency, streamlining retail payments, and more.

As a part of our Product Team, you will quite literally define what the future of Mason’s products look like. We're looking for the right person to join our close-knit team and own our core platform services, fleet management tools, and developer tools.

This role is for a Technical Product Manager with a technical software background who thrives on building zero-to-one products, scaling platform services, and deeply understanding their customers’ needs.

Mason is looking for a complex combination of grit, smarts, ingenuity, and diverse perspectives (and more!). Check out our values and see if they resonate!

What you’ll work on:
• Define and drive the strategic roadmap for Mason’s core Controller product including developer-facing APIs, tooling, and SDKs
• Drive execution and experimentation of product releases, including setting goals and metrics for success
• Deliver product requirements and specs, in partnership with design, engineering, marketing, and customer success
• Develop key relationships with customers and gain insight on customer needs, validating product direction
• Represent the Mason team and product in external forums and industry events
• Deploy, use and test your own product to accept and provide early feedback within the development lifecycle

What you bring to the table:
• BA/BS in Computer Science, a related field of study or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of product manager experience (ideally with a focus on cloud infrastructure products)
• Strong understanding of the Cloud Infrastructure and the market: AWS, Azure, GCP, etc
• Excellent communication, both written and verbal
• Technical understanding in one or more of: containerization, continuous deployment, operating systems, micro-services, Android applications, distributed systems
• Proven track record of shipping successful enterprise software products
• Data-driven decision maker
• Detail-oriented and passionate about a great user experience combined with the ability to back proposed decisions by data

Bonus Points for:
• Experience as a software engineer or equivalent technical expertise, with a focus on cloud infrastructure products
• Experience in a fast-paced startup environment

Salary Range: 115,000 - 165,000 USD
