Technical Business Analyst (RPA - Robotic Process Automation)

Responsibilities:
The Technical Business Analyst serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements that support process improvements, automation solutions, and automation enhancements. This role builds on foundational business analysis skills and requires firsthand experience with requirements elicitation, documentation, a solid understanding of Robotic Process Automation, and collaboration within an agile delivery environment. ResponsibilitiesWorks independently on moderately complex initiatives, partners closely with developers and product teams, and contributes to continuous process improvement across the organizationWork with business partners to develop automation strategies for new and existing, on-premises and cloud-hosted applicationsResponsible for working on automation projects to provide requirements, solution options, process definition documents, and process flow diagramsElicits and documents business and technical requirements that drive key business components through a project or platform enhancement lifecycleCollaborates closely with various customers including their immediate project teams, business unit representatives and other technical staff members, often facilitating and coordinating communication among all parties, including vendorsGathers and translates business requirements into Automation design specifications or technical tasks using standardized documentationAnalyze existing processes for automation, participate in design and code reviews, analyze processes for ROI, perform process improvement metrics gathering, and document all automation processesEngage with developers and business partners to achieve target outcomes

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience5+ years experience in Information Technology and business/industry5+ years experience working on moderate-to-complex projects or systemsExperience with conversion of business and functional requirements to use cases, epics, and stories with acceptance criteriaSolid background with requirements gathering and analysisMust be a constant learner with an eye towards continuous improvement Strong understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLCs), including Scrum and WaterfallUnderstanding with business accounting or insurance is a plusPossess risk assessment, problem resolution, negotiation, and influencing skillsComputer Application SkillsMS Office SuiteEdge and Chrome browsersLucid Suite/Visio Jira CloudConfluence CloudOne RPA language (Automation Anywhere, UiPath, etc.) (nice to have)One structured query language (SQL) (nice to have)Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to explain technology in business terms
