We are seeking a dynamic Senior Architect to join our team and lead the solution architecture, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and digital engineering efforts for the USTRANSCOM Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS). Responsibilities: Architectural Leadership: Spearhead the development and maintenance of comprehensive architecture products for JTMS, utilizing MBSE methodologies and DoDAF/UAF frameworks. Systems Modeling: Create and manage detailed system models in SysML/UML, capturing requirements, workflows, interfaces, and mission threads with full traceability. Digital Engineering Strategy: Champion the adoption of the digital thread, model repositories, and model-driven decision support throughout the program lifecycle. Solution Design: Convert business and operational requirements into robust, scalable solution architectures that support COTS/ERP implementations. Integration & Interoperability: Define and implement integration patterns, interface specifications, and interoperability requirements across diverse systems. Governance & Reviews: Establish and maintain architecture governance, modeling standards, and design review processes, presenting to senior leadership. Collaborative Excellence: Work closely with cross-functional teams to address gaps, mitigate risks, and ensure seamless integration across domains. Future-Ready Planning: Contribute to the development of technology roadmaps, transition plans, and business process reengineering initiatives. Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Experience: 7+ years in enterprise/system/solution architecture for large-scale federal or DoD IT programs, with 5+ years in MBSE and Digital Engineering. Technical Expertise: Proficiency in SysML, UML, DoDAF/UAF, and MBSE tools like Cameo Systems Modeler or Sparx EA. Experience with enterprise integration, APIs, and data architecture. Communication Skills: Strong ability to present technical briefings and architecture documentation to executive-level audiences. Security Clearance: US Citizenship is required with an ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. Desired Qualifications: Advanced Degree: Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, or related field. Clearance: Active DoD Secret clearance. Relevant Experience: Direct experience with USTRANSCOM, DoD logistics, or ERP modernization programs. Familiarity with digital twin, AI/ML integration, and cloud-based architectures. Tool Enhancement: Experience extending MBSE tool capabilities through scripting or APIs. Modern Tech Stack: Knowledge of DevSecOps pipelines or zero trust architectures in DoD environments. Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
