Role: Lead Backend Engineer (Tech Lead) — Full-time, Remote
Were hiring a Tech Lead to lead backend development and own the delivery of a stable, scalable platform. This is a hands-on role: youll design, build, and ship.
What youll do
Design and build backend services and APIs for a multi-tenant SaaSOwn data architecture (PostgreSQL/Supabase), performance, and reliabilityImplement background job processing/queues and integrations with third-party APIsWork closely with frontend to deliver smooth end-to-end product flowsMaintain clear documentation (README, setup, architecture notes)Ship consistently with simple progress updates (written + short Loom)
What were looking for
6+ years in backend or full-stack engineering (lead experience preferred)Strong Node.js/TypeScript and PostgreSQL experienceExperience building production SaaS systems (auth, permissions, APIs, integrations)Comfortable with queues/background processing (e.g., Redis-based patterns)Strong communication: clear, structured, reliable delivery
Nice to have
Supabase experienceExperience with AI/LLM integrations or automation workflowsExperience designing multi-tenant systemsExperience building B2B SaaS products
