As a Team Member/Cashier, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by assisting with purchases, answering questions, and promoting additional products. Duties Process customer transactions efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their needs. Help customers locate products within the grocery store and provide information on promotions or specials. Upsell additional items to enhance the customer’s shopping experience. Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area and surrounding spaces. Adhere to food safety and handling guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations. Assist with bussing duties as needed, ensuring a tidy environment for customers. Manage time effectively to minimize wait times for customers during busy periods. Requirements Previous experience in a grocery store or food service environment is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and help customers with inquiries. Familiarity with POS systems is an advantage. Knowledge of food safety practices is beneficial. Excellent time management skills to handle peak hours efficiently. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to cash handling and customer engagement.
