Nimbl has been growing at an exponential rate, and we need someone as passionate about tax accounting and small business as we are to join our Tax Accounting Team.The PositionAs a Nimbl Tax Senior, you will be the face of our tax services to our clients. Your main focus will be fulfilling the personal and/or business tax services included in your client’s service scope. You will be a key member of Nimbl’s tax team and play a significant role in developing our tax servicing department. This position is entirely remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home. Responsibilities:Perform detailed technical reviews and preparation of small business federal and state tax returns and review all related work papers.Preparation of business R&D calculations creditsConsult with clients on tax planning and compliance Deliver excellent planning, consulting, and advising servicesRecommend tax strategies by researching federal, state, and local taxation issuesIdentify legal tax savings and recommend ways to improve profitabilityAccurately prepare quarterly and annual tax reports Assist with various tax consulting projects including federal tax planning, restructuring, controversy, and income tax accounting Maintain a working knowledge of new tax laws and industry trends Coach and develop Nimbl tax staffWhat Makes Nimbl Tax DifferentAlthough Nimbl is technically an accounting company, it is at the forefront of initiating much-needed change in the industry. Our Requirements (In Rough Order of Priority)An innate desire to serve people, especially business owners An obsession with meeting deadlines and keeping commitments Strong verbal & written communication skillsA problem-solver who works independently with minimal oversight CPA license, preferred3-5 years of public accounting experience (2+ tax accounting experience)Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Accounting, or related fieldExperience with tax accounting software a plusProConnet (Intuit), QBO
