About the Firm • 20+ years supporting entrepreneurs, professional service firms, real-estate investors, and multigenerational family businesses • Fully remote, modern processes, paperless workflow • Loyal client base and extremely low turnover • Planning-heavy, relationship-driven work (not a production shop) • Leadership that values clarity, balance, and long-term growth The Role: Tax Manager – Closely Held Businesses & Their Owners You’ll oversee a mix of S-Corp, partnership, and multi-entity clients—plus the related 1040s for the business owners. The role is review-heavy with steady client contact, practical planning, and the ability to influence the direction of the practice. Key Responsibilities • Review 1120S, 1065, 1040, and related ownership filings • Lead planning and strategy discussions directly with business owners • Advise on structure, elections, compensation strategy, basis, distributions, and multi-state issues • Support growth initiatives and help shape the firm’s direction • Mentor junior staff and help maintain a calm, organized workflow • Partner with leadership on more complex clients and projects Ideal Candidate • 5–10+ years in public accounting focused on pass-throughs and closely held businesses • Strong review experience across entity returns and related owner 1040s • Comfortable advising clients and leading planning conversations • Thrives in a remote, tech-forward environment • CPA or EA required This isn’t a coasting role—the hours are manageable, but the expectations and upward mobility are real.
