Salary :$145,000 starting and negotiable The Opportunity We’re looking for a strategic, forward-thinking Tax Director to lead and grow our tax team. This is a key leadership position for someone who thrives at the intersection of technical expertise, client advisory, and operational excellence. This is a full-time remote role, and the right person will be included in decision-making as part of the leadership team. What You’ll Do ✅ Lead and mentor a high-performing team of tax professionals ✅ Oversee complex tax compliance and planning engagements for businesses and individuals ✅ Collaborate with legal and accounting / Fractional CFO counterparts to deliver holistic client solutions ✅ Manage and grow client relationships through proactive tax strategy and advisory ✅ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws – with a sharp eye for planning opportunities ✅ Develop and implement scalable workflows and technology integrations (we use Ignition, Karbon, and more) ✅ Stay ahead of tax law changes and advise both clients and internal teams accordingly What We’re Looking For • CPA or EA required; JD or MST a plus • 7+ years of progressive tax experience, ideally in a public accounting or multidisciplinary environment • Strong leadership and people management skills • Excellent communication – you can explain complex tax concepts in plain English • Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach • Comfortable working in a fast-growing, tech-forward, collaborative environment • Someone who has worked extensively with a workflow / practice management tool like Karbon Why our client ✔️ Innovative ABS structure combining law, tax, and accounting ✔️ Entrepreneurial leadership and room to grow ✔️ Fully remote work environment ✔️ Competitive compensation and benefits ✔️ Team-oriented culture with real impact Benefits • 10 days PTO (increasing each year) • 10 paid holidays • 13 paid Fridays off (May - July) • Reasonable working hours (average 50 during busy season) • Medical, dental, vision, short-term life, disability • 401(k) with match Apply tot his job
