Tax Experienced Associate

The Experienced Tax Associate will work alongside seasoned CPAs to prepare tax returns, research complex tax matters, and manage multiple engagements while providing support to the team. Responsibilities Preparing complex individual, trust, partnership and corporate tax returns Researching and drafting memorandum involving complex tax matters Identifying tax planning opportunities Handling and resolving tax controversies Managing multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines Providing supervision, training and support to the engagement staff and promote open communication to the engagement partner and manager Skills Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Licensed CPA, or working towards CPA certification At least one year of prior experience working in the tax department of a public accounting Excellent analytical and technical tax skills Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment Excellent analytical, organizational, project management skills, and strong attention to detail Ability to travel as needed Masters of Science in Taxation is preferred but not required Benefits Competitive benefits package Bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance Company Overview Withum is a accounting and consulting firm focus on technology and media.
