Tax Analyst

The Tax Analyst will support the Global Tax Reporting and Strategy Lead team, focusing on cross border tax planning, compliance, and the development of global tax strategies while interacting with various business groups.ResponsibilitiesWork with external advisers on the preparation of transfer pricing documentation reports or, where applicable, prepare reports or other supporting documentation for transfer pricing policiesResponsibility for the coordination of quarterly and annual transfer pricing adjustments, including gathering and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data and reporting resultsResponsibility for tracking filing deadlines of all Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) including facilitating the submission of filing/non-filing notices, master file and local file, where applicableResearch transfer pricing and cross-functional tax issuesPerform financial / economic analyses and building financial valuation models, as neededAssist with audits / provide tax controversy supportResponsible for the preparation of intercompany agreements to reflect group transfer pricing policiesAssist with lean philosophies and methodologies for continuous improvement including standard work and root cause counter-measure work in support of key performance indicatorsAssist with the development and implementation of STERIS plc’s overall tax strategyAssist with cross border tax planning and financing projects relating to both external M&A and internal reorganisationsMonitor for legislative changes and the preparation of summary notes relating to such changes which affect or may affect current and future tax positionsMonitor and analyse existing and proposed tax legislation and help define and implement appropriate global strategiesAssist with transfer pricing planning aspects of business expansion including entering into new countries, reorganisations, and cross-border transactions involving multiple jurisdictionsAssist with preparation of executive level communication of project plans and milestones to broad stakeholder group, including tax leadership team and finance leadersSkillsMinimum of 1-3 years of corporate tax or public accounting firmBachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field of studyProven knowledge of basic tax principlesDynamic environment requiring adaptability and flexibilityMust possess excellent analytical skills, organisational, verbal / written communication, research and problem-solving skillsExperience in global transfer pricing a plusBig four or accounting firm experience is a plusAn advanced degree and/or CPA certification is a plusBenefitsMarket Competitive PayExtensive Paid Time Off and (9) added HolidaysExcellent Healthcare, Dental, and Vision benefitsLong/Short Term Disability Coverage401(k) with a company matchMaternity & Parental LeaveAdditional add-on benefits/discounts for programs such as Pet InsuranceTuition Reimbursement and continued education programsExcellent opportunities for advancement in a stable long-term careerCompany OverviewSTERIS is a leading provider of infection prevention and other procedural products and services, focused primarily on healthcare, pharmaceutical and medical device Customers.
