Tax Accountant

To help our teams work together effectively, this role requires you to be located in the Philippines and to work during APAC hours (6:00am to 3:00pm).ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you'll get to:Prepare various GST/VAT tax returns and file them on timePrepare month end reconciliations of tax sensitive accountsPrepare month end journals and other related tax journalsAssist and support the tax team in answering audit requestsResearch on new indirect tax legislations, assess the impact and coordinate changes to ensure complianceResearch on customer queries regarding WHT and advice accordinglyCollaborate with external advisors and internal stakeholdersAutomate and streamline manual processesAssist with new tax registrationsKeep our internal tax documentation up to dateQualificationsOn your first day, we'll expect you to have :3+ years of experience as a tax accountant in a multinational company or professional accounting firmExperience in handling global VAT, GST or US Sales Tax returnsStrong tax research skillsProficient with Microsoft ExcelGood understanding of the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and journal entriesThe ability to learn new concepts on the fly independently and can communicate through verbal and written platforms effectivelyThe hunger for learning and have no qualms growing your knowledge of new systems and technologyThe ability to manage and meet deadlines, highly organized, detail oriented and can analyze and interpret financial data.It's also great but not required if:You have completed or working toward CA or CPAYou have experience using Oracle FusionBenefits & PerksAtlassian offers a wide range of perks and benefits designed to support you, your family and to help you engage with your local community.
