Tableau Admin/Developer Location: Remote

Roles and Responsibilities
• Administer and maintain Tableau Server, including user accounts, groups, projects, permissions, and data sources.
• Monitor Tableau Server performance, logs, and capacity to ensure system stability and optimal performance.
• Perform server maintenance, upgrades, and license management for Tableau Server and Desktop.
• Configure and manage security settings, including SSL certificates, LDAP integration, and Active Directory synchronization.
• Troubleshoot Tableau server issues, background task failures, and performance problems.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports based on business requirements.
• Monitor scheduled jobs and server activities and resolve failures in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with IT and vendor support teams for cluster issues, upgrades, and system integrations.
• Support data preparation, data source validation, and governance best practices.
• Provide user support and training on Tableau usage, security, and best practices.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in Tableau Server administration and Tableau dashboard development.
• Strong knowledge of Tableau Server architecture, installation, configuration, and upgrades.
• Experience managing user access, security, permissions, and data governance within Tableau environments.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, LDAP integration, SSL configuration, and authentication mechanisms.
• Experience monitoring server performance, logs, and capacity planning.
• Strong knowledge of data visualization best practices and dashboard performance optimization.
• Experience with data preparation, data validation, and working with data extracts/live connections.
• Familiarity with Windows Server environments and basic networking concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder support skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, data engineers, and business stakeholders.
