Systems & Test Design Engineer

Tutor Intelligence builds robotic systems designed to operate in real-world, high-throughput environments. They are seeking a Systems & Test Design Engineer to help build and evolve test environments across the full product lifecycle, focusing on debugging, system-level thinking, and collaboration with various teams. Responsibilities Execute and support bench testing, DVT, FAT, and FRU testing Help design and build test fixtures, benches, and workstations Support electrical, software, and system-level debugging Assist with lifetime, stress, and reliability testing Create and maintain troubleshooting playbooks and diagnostic procedures Support Manufacturing during factory bring-up and production ramp Partner with Hardware, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Robot Support teams Support validation, FAT, and deployments Perform onsite debugging and triage Feed real-world learnings back into design and test environments Skills Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or similar Experience with electromechanical or robotic systems Hands-on comfort with hardware, wiring, and test equipment Strong debugging and problem-solving skills Clear communicator who works well across teams Excited to learn and grow in a fast-moving startup environment Familiarity with IP, Modbus, or CAN bus Comfort using Linux / command-line tools for logs and basic network testing Experience with SolidWorks or Onshape for fixtures or workstations Exposure to Lean, Kaizen, or continuous improvement practices Company Overview Tutor was founded to build the intelligence that lets machines see, learn, and act alongside people in the most complex, real-world production environments.
