SAP and PowerBI Support Consultant
This is a 12 month remote assignment. The Consultant needs to be available during office hours on Pacific Time.
W2 only.
This contract is for a Consultant to lead the modernization of its reporting infrastructure by transitioning from SAP-based reports to Power BI. The contractor will reduce CLIENT's long-term reliance on SAP, enhance access to operational data, and support a robust reporting environment across both platforms.
The contractor will provide comprehensive SAP report support, technical guidance on infrastructure dependencies, and Power BI expertise to recreate and improve internal reporting tools. A major focus of this engagement will be to systematically review the inventory of over 1,200 SAP Crystal and Web Intelligence reports, identify unused or obsolete reports, and formally recommend their retirement or consolidation.
The qualified candidate must possess the following skills and experience:
• 5+ years of experience in Information Technology
• 5+ years of experience in the design, testing, implementation, documentation, and support of SAP and PowerBI environments.
• 3+ years of experience in the integration of SAP and PowerBI with identity management systems.
• 3+ years of experience in the design, development, testing, and implementation of SAP Client reporting tools and PowerBI.
• 3+ years of experience in Microsoft Server installation and configuration.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills when interacting with all levels of management, customers, project team and staff.
• High proficiency in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with the project team, CLIENT staff, and other City departments.
• Experience working respectfully in a culturally diverse work environment.
• Ability to work independently and with teams.
• Proficiency in writing Technical Documentation.
• Ability to gather, interpret and evaluate complex information and data.
