About the Team: Corporate Applications and IT
As a Workday Systems Engineer, you'll be an integral part of our Corporate Applications Team within DoorDash IT. This team is responsible for implementing systems and innovative process improvements that drive business success. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, and Operations, to design, build, and support Workday integrations and solutions. Your expertise will help us streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall employee experience.
About the Role: Workday Systems Engineer
We're seeking a highly skilled Workday Systems Engineer to join our IT Corporate Applications team. As a trusted business partner, you'll support DoorDash's IT and People teams by building integrations and solutions within Workday and other ancillary HR systems. Your primary focus will be on designing, building, and supporting Workday technical solutions, ensuring seamless integration with various internal and external systems. You'll report to our Senior Manager of Corporate Applications and work collaboratively with stakeholders to drive business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and build integrations between Workday and various internal and external systems using Workday technologies, including Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, PICOF/PECI, and more.
Develop Workday Extend applications in collaboration with business stakeholders to meet specific business needs.
Support existing integrations and functionality by monitoring and providing technical assistance to business teams.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements, design and implement solutions, conduct testing, and ensure successful release and user adoption.
Recommend improvement opportunities and continuously innovate across the Workday platform to drive business value.
Serve as the integrations lead for all Workday upgrades, improvements, implementations, and releases, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Partner with the HR team to review security, business process overview, and compliance efforts in alignment with audit requirements (SOC and SOX).
Engage with the Workday community to stay up-to-date on technology capabilities and recommend solutions that address business needs.

Essential Qualifications:

4+ years of Workday integration development and support experience, with 1+ year of Workday Extend experience.
Proven ability to manage confidential and sensitive employee information.
Extensive knowledge and experience with Workday Studio, EIBs, BIRT Reporting, Core Connectors, PECI, and Cloud Connectors, Document Transformation.
Expertise in data transformation languages, including XSLT, XTT/ETV.
Ability to think outside the box in using Workday frameworks to automate and optimize processes.
Functional understanding of core HR business terminology and practices.
Proven ability to audit, maintain, and provide good judgment in utilizing confidential HR information.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Workday reporting and analytics, including Report Writer and dashboards.
Knowledge of HR systems, including HRIS, payroll, and benefits administration.
Familiarity with cloud-based integration platforms, such as MuleSoft or Jitterbit.
Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git.
Strong understanding of data security and compliance principles, including SOC and SOX.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits:
The location-specific base salary range for this position is listed below. Compensation in other geographies may vary.

California Pay Range: $153,500 - $255,800 USD
Colorado Pay Range: $145,000 - $230,300 USD
Hawaii Pay Range: $145,000 - $217,400 USD
New Jersey Pay Range: $145,000 - $255,800 USD
New York Pay Range: $145,000 - $255,800 USD
Washington Pay Range: $145,000 - $255,800 USD

In addition to base salary, the compensation package for this role also includes opportunities for equity grants and bonuses.
