About The Job
We're looking for a highly skilled, experienced, and versatile Intermediate Systems Engineer to join a dynamic Information Technology (IT) team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, primarily focusing on cloud technologies hosted in Azure. The ideal candidate will thrive at the intersection of technical support, systems engineering, and security, with a passion for ensuring system reliability and empowering teams through technology.
Responsibilities:
ā¢ Configure, support and manage cloud technologies primarily hosted on Microsoft Azure. Perform backup restoration procedures and ensure data integrity.
ā¢ Implement and manage Group Policy Objects (GPO) and Organizational Units (OU) within Active Directory.
ā¢ Collaborate with the Information Security team to address and resolve identified security vulnerabilities and issues.
ā¢ Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Open Tofu/Terraform, deployed via GitLab.
ā¢ Provide technical support and troubleshooting for various Windows environments, including Windows Server, Active Directory, and SQL.
ā¢ Work with virtualization technologies such as Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix, and VMware.
ā¢ Participate in the infrastructure team's on-call rotation to provide timely support for critical systems
Qualifications:
ā¢ Excellent PowerShell scripting for automation.
ā¢ 5+ years of experience in all of the following:
ā¢ Systems engineering, technical support, or a related role.
ā¢ Backup technologies (Veeam experience is a plus).
ā¢ Cloud Platforms, specifically Microsoft Azure and its intricacies.
ā¢ IaC Tools, including Open Tofu/Terraform and GitLab.
ā¢ Windows Environments: Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL, and all Windows operating systems.
ā¢ Virtualization: Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix, and VMware..
ā¢ Strong understanding of security technologies and best practices
Education & Certifications:
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology) preferred.
ā¢ Industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Security+, CCNA) are preferred.
