The System Engineer, working with internal and external stakeholders, will help support the entire lifecycle of the application.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
TASKS:
ā¢ Perform the technical design, development, and component testing of repository changes.
ā¢ Setup and maintain cloud-based servers and services.
ā¢ Engage with the development teams to provide production management support input for the design of new application builds.
ā¢ Create optimal data pipeline architecture that is coherent and scalable, based on best practices of integrating data into a consolidated repository.
ā¢ Coordinate execution of break fixes in the production and nonproduction environments.
ā¢ Investigate and follow-up with various stakeholders (e.g., OTI, vendors) to resolve issues.
ā¢ Ensure that deliverables from the internal and vendor development teams meet requirements, including ensuring code matches server software stacks and specifications.
ā¢ Provide support during testing and deployment by monitoring servers and providing feedback.
ā¢ Create, update, and maintain system documentation.
ā¢ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
ā¢ Perform special projects and initiatives as assigned.
MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
ā¢ At least 8 years of experience in administering and maintaining Linux OS servers, iPlanet Web Servers, IBMMDM/IIS, Oracle WebLogic Application, Portal Servers, Windows Servers on-prem and on the cloud.
ā¢ A minimum 8 years of experience in writing SQL.
ā¢ Strong technical expertise in cloud-based technologies, such as AWS, Azure Clouds.
ā¢ Ability to write scripts (Ant, Maven and Shell) for configuration management (CM), build and deployment activities, and routine day to day functions.
ā¢ Experience on Single Sign On (SSO) configuration using SiteMinder with iPlanet/Oracle Weblogic Servers.
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
ā¢ Experience using Oracle 19c, AWS RDS/MySQL and/or a database appliance.
ā¢ Understand basic design principles behind a scalable application.
ā¢ Experience with service-oriented architecture and RESTful web services.
ā¢ Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
