Systems Administrator

We are offering a contract for a permanent position as a Systems Administrator in Tallahassee, Florida. As a Systems Administrator, you will be a Subject Matter Expert, responsible for handling various Microsoft Azure resources and managing IT work in multiple system environments. Responsibilities:? Create and manage processes that ensure optimal use of Microsoft Azure resources.? Collaborate with data center staff and users in executing Azure resource deployments, upgrades, and configuration changes.? Train infrastructure team members on Azure and its best practices when required.? Handle Microsoft Entra identification management activities.? Inspect Azure resource performance, identify any resource contention, and suggest changes or upgrades to guarantee optimization.? Support Azure application owners/administrators and users with suitable application access.? Write PowerShell scripts for monitoring server properties and executing Active Directory and Azure management activities.? Administer and set up Azure infrastructure security for OIT staff and users.? Conduct research and propose technical solutions to meet functional needs.? Work on the development and maintenance of technical specifications, standards, procedures, and systems documentation.? Analyze and resolve Windows and Linux server issues causing minimal disruption to users.? Suggest process improvements within the Department's infrastructure team.? Develop schedules for the development and implementation of specific software systems.? Perform additional Systems Administrator tasks as required by the Department.
