System Support Specialist

System Support Specialist Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract-to-hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the St. Louis and Kansas City areas. We are currently looking for a System Support Specialist II to join our team. Responsibilities • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktop systems, hardware, software, printers, video conferencing systems, mobile devices, and other technologies. • Investigate system issues and implement solutions using available tools, product knowledge, and established procedures. • Offer first-line support to internal users through both remote and in-person assistance. • Manage and track Help Desk tickets and phone calls using the ticketing system. • Deploy and support computer equipment for users and departments. • Coordinate with vendors and internal IT teams to resolve issues and assist with projects. • Perform system patching, application upgrades, and user creation. • Document technical procedures and update internal knowledgebases. • Support initiatives that improve the overall user experience. • Participate in after-hours work and on-call rotations as needed. Required Qualifications • 2–3 years of technical support experience. • Strong multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment. • Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. • Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information. • Willingness to adapt to change and expand technical knowledge. Preferred Qualifications • Familiarity with Windows Operating Systems and mobile device support (iOS and Android). • Experience with tools such as Salesforce, Google Workspace, Active Directory, and application security permissions. • Knowledge of desktop application support and deployment. • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; additional technical certifications are a plus. Additional Information • Hybrid work environment: remote with on-site support as needed. • Regular participation in after-hours support, including equipment deployment and system updates. • Must be able to lift and deploy equipment up to 20 lbs and occasionally work under desks to connect hardware. • Regional travel may be required.
