SVP Compliance

Description SVP Compliance will be responsible for developing, managing, and enhancing compliance framework across the United States and internationally. This role requires an experienced leader with strong legal and regulatory expertise, the ability to manage and inspire teams, and the willingness to be hands-on in addressing both strategic and operational compliance matters. SVP Compliance responsibilities include strengthening internal controls, reviewing and maintaining compliance policies and procedures, overseeing various types of monitoring, overseeing the drafting and submitting regulatory reports, managing the completion of regulatory examinations and related document requests, interacting with internal and external stakeholders regarding compliance matters and identifying and implementing improvements to and enhancing the efficiency of ICAT’s compliance program and operations. Essential Duties And Responsibilities • Provide strategic direction and leadership to compliance function worldwide, maintaining consistency across jurisdictions while adapting to local regulatory requirements • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive compliance program in alignment with federal, state, and local regulations, including but not limited to the DOJ Guidance for Effective and Robust Compliance Programs • Design, implement, and continuously improve global compliance programs, policies, and procedures that promote ethical conduct and mitigate compliance risks • Review, refine and strengthen internal compliance controls and suggest improvements to controls managed by other internal control functions • Source, Implement and manage Risk Management System (RMS) to ensure organizational compliance through the use of technology • Identify, assess, and manage compliance risks across all operations, managing proactive responses to regulatory changes and industry developments • Oversee the compliance program and identify any additional areas to be monitored • Guide operations teams in managing compliance incidents and remediating root causes • Interpret and operationalize regulatory requirements and changes • Support the execution of Compliance department initiatives, including audit readiness, documentation improvements, and operational projects • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the compliance team, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and regulatory requirements • Embrace and implement opportunities to rethink how Compliance services are provided, focusing internal expertise on complex, high value matters, and automating, streamlining, or outsourcing high-volume, lower complexity matters, and using data to drive continuous improvement in services • Develop and deliver training programs to ensure that employees are aware of compliance policies and procedures, inputting all in-scope compliance policies and procedures into the enterprise training matrix • Monitor and stay abreast of changes in global regulations and industry best practices, adapting the compliance program as needed. • Perform other duties as assigned • This role is hybrid in the greater Phoenix, AZ area. Can be remote and report to the office a few times per month. • Salary: $240K - $260K We are not accepting inquiries from recruitment agencies or third-party vendors for this position. Requirements Qualifications & Skill Requirements • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school preferred, but not required • Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional or Certified Global Compliance Specialist certification preferred • 15+ years of compliance experience with at least 8 years working with Sr. Leadership • 5+ years demonstrated success in managing global or multi-jurisdictional compliance team and enhancing organization and efficiency • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate, influence, and guide senior professionals • Demonstrated skill in engaging with regulators, executives, and employees at all levels • Experience implementing and managing Risk Management Systems (RMS) • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office • Experience working with a private equity firm is a plus. • Experience working in transportation and logistics a plus Key Competencies • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability and willingness to be hands-on, deeply involved in daily compliance challenges • Exceptional judgment, integrity, and discretion • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, • Strategic thinker with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving • Extremely well organized, able to plan and effectively set priorities for implementation • Project management and budgeting skills • Comfortable operating in a high growth, high-expectation client centric environment • Resilient, adaptable and capable of leading through change • Ability to relate to and successfully interact across a variety of settings and work well with a broad and diverse workforce throughout the organization • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across all levels of the organization • Understanding and responsive to situations that require a sense of urgency • Consistent in follow-up and follow-through • Credible with a high level of personal integrity • Adaptive to ICAT’s core values Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes • Direct supervision and accountability of staff • Support team in setting and achieving goals and performance objectives • Coach and mentor team members • Identify department training requirements and conduct training as needed • Hold regular individual 1x1 and team meetings • Clearly communicate department and individual initiatives / goals • Develop, monitor and review regularly metrics and goals with team members • Conduct performance appraisals; provide rewards and execute disciplinary actions/ workplace solutions for department staff • Accountable for recruiting and hiring process for new hire requirements • Maintain an environment that allows the team to be part of ICAT’s overarching goals and mission Travel Requirement: Yes, 35% of the time Apply tot his job
