Supplier Engineer
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Up to 50% travel required SUMMARY The Supplier Field Engineer drives suppliers to meet and sustain quality and logistics targets, supports Procurement and Quality teams during crises, and coordinates with SPM/SPQM to implement, assess, and escalate supplier action plans for recurring performance issues. They also ensure improvement actions are consistent across all supply‑chain stakeholders and manage supplier recovery efforts until acceptable performance is achieved. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage recovery plans with Line of Balance management on shortages occurring at multiple SEP plants Support SPM (SPQM) division to recover supplier performance through action‑plan follow‑up and supplier site visits Support supply chain operations on recovery plans, escalations, and critical issues Support SPM to "Check and Act" action‑plan implementation Act as co‑assessor for on‑site supplier assessments and audits in coordination with SPM Support SPM plant on major quality issues (scope definition, containment) Escalate and participate in risk analysis with SPM division Drive corrective action plans ensuring sustainable results with focus on production readiness, audits, and systemic quality issues Conduct periodic internal supplier performance reviews Serve as focal point for supplier performance issues with logistics and program teams Conduct workshops to drive change and resolve conflict internally and at supplier facilities Adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies Regular, predictable attendance required Other duties as assigned EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field Minimum of 3 years experience in Quality, Supply Chain, and/or Engineering Aerospace & Defense experience preferred KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Project management – Intermediate Manufacturing process awareness – Advanced Process control, total quality, and lean manufacturing – Intermediate Supply chain principles, audits, and ERP – Advanced Quality and Lean tools (FMEA, 8D, DMAIC, 5W, Ishikawa) – Intermediate Strong problem‑solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication Ability to work autonomously High level of self‑motivation and job planning Strong customer focus Leadership through influence and conflict resolution Required fluency in English; French and Spanish a plus
