What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Supervise and assist coders, including training new staff and managing performance
- Collaborate with the coding manager on scheduling, payroll, and physician education
- Participate in production coding as needed to maintain workflow
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders and support departments to resolve errors
- Organize and monitor special projects to ensure timely and accurate completion
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's Degree in a Health Information related field or 4 years of experience in lieu of an Associate’s degree
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a production coder with knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT/HCPCS codes
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- At least 1 year in a leadership role overseeing staff or processes
- Professional Coding Certification

- Strong analytical skills for data assessment and problem-solving
