Partnering with global and local brands, we integrate supply chain efficiencies and sustainable practices into everything we design and manufacture.Job Description:About this opportunity As our new Supervisor you will be responsible for the overall supervision and direction of the shift production team who process and recycle steel drums from return of used goods, to end product, and sold back out to the market.Reporting to the Production Manager you will be a key member of the site leadership team and therefore responsible for the sites’ overall success. Self-driven with a strong ability to ā€œget things doneā€ safely and effectively, you will uplift capability across the team to ensure and embed a culture of continuous improvement whilst maintaining the highest safety standards.Available Shift: Day 6:00AM until 2:30PM.Your key responsibilities will be to:Ensure that ALL work is carried out in a safe working mannerCo-ordinate and facilitate inductions for new startersCoordinate and deliver training and assist with assessment as requiredManage production to plan during the shift including resourcing (labour)Control and management of production staff during the shiftEnsure accurate and timely delivery of key Operations reports (QC/NCR and Safety etc)Work closely with Production and Quality teams to troubleshoot issues and maintain plant production capabilityForklift drivingIf you are passionate about driving results, then this is a great opportunity for transformational change and establishing a career pathway with an industry leader.Your skills and experienceTo be successful in this role, you’ll have:Visible belief and demonstrated leadership in driving a Zero Harm cultureā€œHands Onā€ approach with willingness to deliver outcomesStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsOutcome focused with the ability to balance production, safety, and resourcesQualifications:5+ years’ experience in a heavy industrial environment e.g. foundry, waste recovery facility, water treatmentKnowledge of the process for the manufacture of packaging including an understanding of the equipment is preferredProven people leadership and change management experience with a collaborative and enabling approach.
