Structural Engineer

Wright-Pierce is an award-winning, multi-discipline environmental engineering firm specializing in water, wastewater and civil infrastructure. They are seeking a Structural Engineer to handle a variety of challenging structural design projects, including assessments and designs for treatment facilities and infrastructure. The role involves collaboration with other engineering disciplines and requires strong communication and organizational skills.ResponsibilitiesStructural design for water and wastewater treatment and civil/industrial infrastructure facilitiesConduct visual structural assessments and document deficiencies for existing facilitiesVisually assess buildings, tanks and other structures associated with the project(s)Design low-rise buildings constructed of masonry, wood, or steelDesign of above and below grade liquid containing concrete tanksCreate drawing edits of designs using Bluebeam for a Revit TechnicianPrepare “Punch Lists” of noted deficiencies and work remainingReview structural submittalsWorks with other design disciplines, continuously coordinating the Structural work with other disciplines for conflicts, dimensions and scope using Bluebeam (or other electronic) softwareSkills1-5 years of structural engineering experience preferably within the municipal water or wastewater engineering industryBS Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering requiredMS Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook) & Bluebeam proficiency requiredExperience in REVIT and structural design software (STAAD or Tekla Structural Designer)Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skillsPersonal organization and time management skillsBuild strong relationships with coworkersExcellent attention to detailWork with others in multiple offices using Bluebeam & Microsoft TeamsCoordinate and collaborate with other engineering disciplines and project management staffEngineer in Training Certification preferredBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insurance beginning on date of hireWellness program with fitness reimbursementMental health and well-being benefitPaid volunteer hours401(k) match with employer match and profit-sharing contribution with no vesting periodDefined career development path, mentorship program, and Wright-Pierce University training programPaid time off, paid and floating holidays, and paid parental leaveFlexible work schedules and hybrid work environmentCompany OverviewWright-Pierce enhances clients’ success by delivering reliable solutions, responsive service, and superior value.
