Strategic Finance Manager

CloudTrucks is looking for a Strategic Finance Manager to join our growing team. In this highly cross-functional role, you’ll help drive strategic decision-making through thoughtful financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting. Reporting to the CFO, you’ll partner closely with teams across the company to support planning, guide resource allocation, and provide insights that shape the future of our business.You’ll lead our annual and monthly planning processes, build and maintain financial models, and deliver actionable insights to help us scale efficiently. This is a high-impact role with direct exposure to company leadership—ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable digging into the details, and brings a strong point of view backed by data.As we expand our platform and deepen our impact across the trucking industry, you’ll play a critical role in helping us understand what’s working, what’s not, and where to invest next.What you’ll doLead and support CloudTrucks financial planning processes, including annual planning, long-range forecasts, and monthly updates.Partner with commercial and marketing teams to analyze growth drivers, customer trends, and ROI across key initiatives.Build and improve scalable reporting that provides real-time visibility into business performance and helps drive accountability across functions.Develop and refine financial models to evaluate new initiatives, product lines, partnerships, and investments.Create dashboards, reports, and frameworks that improve forecasting accuracy and help leadership make data-driven decisions.Conduct ad hoc analyses that provide insights into business drivers, cost structure, and opportunities for growth or efficiency.Act as a thought partner to senior leaders, bringing data, perspective, and recommendations to strategic conversations.Who you areCurious and analytical — you love digging into data and asking “why.”A self-starter with a strong sense of ownership; you’re proactive and reliable.Thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments and embrace ambiguity.Collaborative and relationship-driven - you enjoy building trust across teams.Able to zoom in and out — you can both build models and connect the dots to broader strategy.Motivated by impact and passionate about contributing to a mission-driven company.Values clarity, transparency, and structured thinking.What we are looking for5+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, or a related fieldBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related disciplineAdvanced Excel/Google Sheets skills with a track record of building dynamic financial modelsStrong command of core financial and accounting conceptsExperience leading or contributing to annual planning, monthly forecasting, and performance reporting cyclesComfortable synthesizing large, complex data sets into meaningful insightsFamiliarity with financial systems and tools such as Adaptive Insights, NetSuite, Power BI, or LookerStrong communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders across technical and non-technical teamsNice to havesExperience in a startup or high-growth technology company.Exposure to both B2B and B2C business models, especially in marketplaces or logistics.MBA, CPA, or CFA credentials.Experience implementing or optimizing FP&A tools and workflows.Experience supporting fundraising efforts at a high-growth tech company (e.g., preparing investor materials, financial modeling, due diligence)Knowledge of SQL or comfort working directly with data in BI tools.About CloudTrucksCloudTrucks is a virtual trucking carrier in the multi-billion dollar trucking space.
